Emulation relies on timing. One tick is equivalent to 3.8 nanoseconds. So why does mucking around with the emulated time do weird things? Because events need to happen at certain times after each other. If events do not happen at their specified times, weird things happen. Does fiddling with...

Hi! It's quite straightfoward to make such a video: 1. Download a screencapture software. 2. Record yourself playing. 3. Speed up the video 3x. 4. Post it to Youtube. Enjoy!

Thanks for the report; I'll check to see how SDL2 handles audio devices and perhaps have selection box for them in the configuration.

Hmm, interesting. Just tested on my own Mac and it works. What model is it? & What version of OS X are you running out of curiosity? Trying to narrow down and see if it's perhaps something to do with audio devices. Is there anything in the logs related to audio / sinks? (If you're going to...

Which version are you using? (Commit hash in the titlebar.)

Haven't had a look at ORAS; though I'd be doing some audio work when I get time.

It's there, on OS X it's a hidden folder because it starts with . 1. At a Finder window, press ⌘⇧G 2. In the textbox that pops up, type (no spaces): ~/.local/share/citra-emu

It would've made more sense for that to be merged later, but oh well.

I'm honestly surprised it works at all in Pokemon. I hadn't looked at it's audio firmware yet and was expecting (and was told to expect) it to be quite different.

I have a rebased conflict-free branch at rebased-audio. It's under a different name because I want to keep the original version to crosscheck everything's been properly merged into master when it's done.

Thanks for the headsup, I have several incompatible versions of everything floating around; I'll rebase that. btw that new one (finally) does buffer management properly, and should fix bravely default and OoT (only two I've tested). I've just been lazy and never gotten round to writing it up...

You're probably thinking, "Hey, why don't we have all the devs work on one feature at a time, that way each feature will be complete faster?". Unfortunately that's not how software development works. Packing more developers into a small area often just leads to longer and longer delays due to...

fyi if you've merged jit2 there are no speed improvements in publicly available branches. Still working on it.

@Leo121 Was that using an older version of my audio branch (commit hash merged please if you have it)? I have several versions of my timing code and the current isn't the best for wildly varying framerates like this. Edit: Ah, I see, looks like b26cbb1, thanks.
