    I don't understand what Jack did to fix the problem. His Wii was switched on, he took it apart while it was switched on, and then what exactly happened ?

    It's all very strange. I was able to flash the new nand.bin with bootmii without any error messages. But the error remains exactly the same. I'm wondering why my SSBB autoboot DVD works in recovery mode... I think not much is needed in recovery...
