    May of misread the OP's post, I assumed he wanted to keep his old switch at 4.1 and deactivate his account and move it to the new one to update, so if he bought a new one that was at 4.x he can just upgrade his existing one and keep the new one clean for HB.

    Looking at the serial number thread, only one person has reported 5.x fresh from the box, you may get lucky and get a 4.x, saving yourself the hassle of having to transfer stuff.

    The "leaks" alone will be enough for GF/Nintendo to buy up the domains just incase someone tries to register them, after all it has Pokémon in the name, so trademark protection etc.

    Heh, strangely I had the exact same on a brand new 2DS XL this morning, Was doing a DSi/4 Swords and had the exact same thing (power on, blue light, powered off 1-2 secs later). Fixed by re-reading the guide and making sure my SD was correct with the boot.firm etc.
