To be honest, I think that can be a bit too far, telling the reason if someone asks or shares is a more moderated approach than just forcing everyone to not talk about it or shaming someone when they get banned, that what most communities do based on common sense.
Only one user in the thread used it to relink a Nintendo Network account to Pretendo Network, and according to them it worked. I originally posted it for those who wanted to remove an account from their console or use it without anything linked to it, so I can't really tell if it would be a...
Why people even bother with Apple products nowadays? Like for real, what is the point? These things are already overpriced and for some reason there's still people out there who want to go through the hassle of using their products for things like this? There's nothing special about them and at...
That's unfortunate, if I'm not mistaken I did the entire process while logged into a different account, so I had at least two users on my console during the time I did that myself. (in case these details are of some relevance.)
That moderator warn people for the wrong reasons all the time.
Something that happened to me (and you can go on their server right now and see it in the message history): there was a member complaining about other members replying to their message (if you don't know, discord pings the person...
I should have been more specific, I don't think people in this thread are trying to conspire when they talk about their experience, most of the time when these things are bought up it is always related to one moderator that is still part of the head moderation.
To be fair with them, most of the staff members seems to be reasonable in that aspect (at least those who I interacted with from my experience), just that one moderator seems to fit into everything you described.
I saw that situation in the r/WiiU server, apparently he got banned by the same moderator that once banned me based off a false report of piracy by another user. The incompetence of that moderator is well known at this point.
To be honest I don't have that information and I'm not sure if doing that would work, I could be wrong but there is probably more to the linking processing than it.
It's not the movies or games downloads that I would worry about, like breaking into networks, downloading encrypted things, spying on network traffic. I have seen so many "Top Secret" seals on files when I was a kid
I was obsessed with finding UFOs, a surprising amount of US files where stashed on computers in other countries, China back in the early 90s omg sooo much
