    I believe I fixed it by changing my Wii U to boot normally instead of into the choose your CFW menu, and then going to update my console. Make sure your update folder is intact before going to update otherwise it'll fail.

    Same. I also bought a refurbished 32gb Wii U from GameStop and after doing some hombrew shenanigans I am getting the same error code.
