Hacking About to system transfer dsi hack, question

Well yes, but reworded for additional clarity. I really don't know how to otherwise improve reading comprehension.

Hacking About to system transfer dsi hack, question

The wording is fairly straightforward but let me clarify: You copy it into the bootstrap9 folder, The folder can be found on the root of the SD target 3ds's card. (sd:/bootstrap9/)

Hacking Special N3ds 11.0 downgrading case

Okay lets wrap this up for future readers. I could not get OoTHax to work for the life of me, despite your helpful comment, and i eventually ran out of patience with it. Instead, i discovered that i could make a backup of my DSiWare title and copy it to my o3ds. So i patched the save there...

Hacking Special N3ds 11.0 downgrading case

I...am aware of this. I'll still need to boot waithax, which requires a homebrew entrypoint like OoT3DS

Hacking Special N3ds 11.0 downgrading case

Right, cheers for the input. I'll try and restore the nand when OoThax stops crashing. It's supposed to be crazy unstable on 11.0 right?

Hacking Special N3ds 11.0 downgrading case

I have a bit of an interesting N3ds on my hands, and in order to downgrade it properly i think i need some confirmation on a couple of details involved. Lets start with why this case is slightly special, and not commonly discussed. This N3ds used to be hacked with MenuHAX with an unlinked...

Hacking Go to Luma CFW from Gateway 4.2b A9HL

Your saves can be transferred just fine (They'll either be in the gateway's emunand, which you can still use, or convertable from .sav) The trick towards this setup is that you can boot Gateway's CFW directly from LumaCFW. That'll let you both use the superior LumaCFW and your preferred gateway...

Hacking a Wired Problem with A9LH

Note, last time i pulled that stunt removing the "new" hexdata folder and just leaving the original one made the 3ds pick it up again. You shouldnt need to restore a Nand backup if that is the problem.

Homebrew Error starting FBI from the homebrewlauncher (and some n3ds rxTools bugs?)

I'm doing this remotely too, so no i can't. I did however solve it by putting FBI on the SD card again, so i guess it's a corruption bug of some sort. I checked the hashes of the zip files, which were identical, so maybe something went off during the copying to the SD card Or to be more...

Homebrew Error starting FBI from the homebrewlauncher (and some n3ds rxTools bugs?)

You're not alone anymore at least! i've just encountered it myself. For me it happens on an o3DS running Luma, so it's definitely not something related to rxTools. I'll try injecting it tomorrow with Decrypt9 and then we'll see what happens. Maybe an older version of FBI might also solve it...

Hacking lost an entire system transfer??? help

Well, then it's loading the right folder, but i'm out of ideas. Did you transfer the games too? ACNL stores it's safe within itself, so if you didnt let the 3ds copy it, it's gone.

Hacking lost an entire system transfer??? help

You can't pull your sdcard while booting to your emunand or while in your emunand, so any point after you run the exploit is too late. Here's what you do: You boot the 3ds into sysnand, and go into the system menu. You pop the sd card out, and remove the hexadecimal file. You pop it back in...

Hacking lost an entire system transfer??? help

It won't do it in the system menu, so get it there, then remove it from the sd card, boot emunand.

Hacking lost an entire system transfer??? help

Oh, that was the reverse of what i thought. However it should still hold true, your emunand is very likely reading the wrong SD folder. Boot to emunand, remove the "wrong" one (don't delete it! move it off just in case!), stick the sd card back in and hope it reads the data. Also keep in mind...
