Emulation Hardware GBA Emulator Project USB C to GBA GC link cable

Neat. I stared it and will look more at it later. Will this support transfer between a modern device and a GBA?

Did no one ever make 720p TVs?

I would grab a widescreen CRT. Some of them that do 720p/1080i are a true 720p and have HDMI input. None of the retro guys want the HD CRTs because the lag when doing 240p on most of them.

Where do you find a ribbon adapter for the AGS-001?

Did you disconnect the lighting ribbon from the screen board?

Where do you find a ribbon adapter for the AGS-001?

Where are you getting the LED power from? What resistor did you use?

Where do you find a ribbon adapter for the AGS-001?

You can swap just the fronligt over to the AGB screen too, it's just harder to do correctly- https://www.instructables.com/How-to-Install-a-Controllable-AGS-001-Frontlight-I/

GBA Project Putting an ags-001 screen inside a 40-pin GBA.

As the other threads show there is more involved on a 40 pin than just the adapter- you need to cut traces and modify the components on the board.

Where do you find a ribbon adapter for the AGS-001?

Did you look at my thread? https://gbatemp.net/threads/ags-001-screen-in-agb-001-a-blast-from-the-past.675025/ The trick is to use the adapter ribbon you first need to disconnect the frontlight ribbon from the SP's LCD assembly, and power it separately. With a 32 pin GBA this is literally the...

AGS-001 screen in AGB-001, a blast from the past!

I'm not sure i understand- are you saying that you still want to do the AGS-001 screen mod on a 32pin AGB? But you picked up a cheap IPS for now? Iif doing this on a 32pin AGB it really is as simple as stripping the lens off an AGS-001 screen, grabbing an adapter ribbon, and wiring power to...

AGS-001 screen in AGB-001, a blast from the past!

Cool to see more old-school modding discussion here! Really interesting to eee the info on the 40 pin. I'm looking forward to seeing a working example. I really like it, it feels more like the classic GBC screen. It also works much better in direct sunlight or in brightly lit rooms, which are...

How to Flash GBA Games on ChisFlash v1.2

Pokemon "Quetzal" version from Alixpress worked for me with FlashGBX. SRAM patched with Lesserkuma's tool here, and a new version of FlashGBX that is pre-release. I'm not sure if this functionality is baked in to the current version, but worst case wait a bit until the next version. I was able...

    Homebrew The Jagoomba Thread

I have it running perfectly on Lesserkuma's fork located here- https://github.com/lesserkuma/jagoombacolor Not sure why the vanilla version didn't work, but this has been great so far.

    Homebrew The Jagoomba Thread

When I compile Shantae with jagoomba I get an error that the game pak is only for use in the gameboy color. Regular goomba does not give the error, but the game is unplayable slowed down.

Hardware Happy to soon blow the dust of my fave GBA - the Micro

Neat! Do you provide the files for these, or just sell them? 1758820821 I recently printed a comfort grip for mine with an aggressive texture out of PETG that makes it a bit easier to hold onto. https://www.printables.com/model/402100-game-boy-micro-grip

What to look for in a CRT monitor?

Better is relative. It's difficult to replicate the same look without getting into advanced chicanery that still doesn't look or "feel" the same. Comments like yours don't make sense in a thread like this where OP seems dedicated to going the retro route. For OP- in my use cases I find that a...

Assistance with Pokemon Crystal RTC not advancing

Hit the solder points with the iron again and reflow them. Also, check the surrounding areas for possible solder bridges. Odd that you didn't lose your save when you pulled the battery.
