    Alpha Centauri is from 1999, almost 10 years old! Awesome game, too. I've gotten it to run on XP, forgot how. Try the different compatability settings for windows 98, 95 and such. The game is too old to have any sort of DRM in it. You might try burning to a CD too, instead of running it mounted.
