    So before returning to the store I used my friend's usb adapter (I was using an sd card adapter) and it worked perfectly. Turns out it was the kingston sd adapter. Time to go play games!!! Thanks to all that had input!

    About reformatting, I've done it mutiple times including safely taking out the memory card. I'm going back to the store right now with the 30 day warranty (1 year warranty? no way lol). I'm gonna ask them to set it up for me lo.. Wish me luck....

    So after seeing all of the corrupted data on my memory card I put it back into the ds and it worked. Then I plugged it back into the pc and loaded another game into the card. When it went back into the ds, the menu wouldn't load and I was left with a disfigured screen. Thanks for the reply...
