Yes I did that. Updated my Ironhax payloads and now the retroarch stuff loads to a black screen. I'm asking if there is a fix for this or do I just need to be patient?

Homebrew Retroarch Emulation Thread (Nightly Builds Included)

Recently updated from 10.2 -> 10.3 as an Ironhax user on O3DS. Do I just need to get the most recent build of QuickNES etc from the Nightly to get them to work again? Now they load onto a black screen. Previously working on 10.2/2.5

Those are not the same games. Clock Tower: The First Fear is the enhanced version of Clock Tower SNES. Our PS1 Clock Tower is Japan's Clock Tower 2.

Is there a translation patch for it? First Fear wasn't released in English as far as I know.

It's a fresh save file created with quickNES itself on my o3DS. The kind of file you get when closing RetroArch and it says "successfully saved rom.srm to <directory>". I ditched using the PC emulator save, that was just a test to see if I could get any proper save file to work on quickNES.

I do have the directory set to where the save files are. :( Kirbys Adventure (USA) rom creates Kirbys Adventure (USA).srm and the .srm is located in sd:/retroarch/savefiles/quickNES. I set my savefile directory to sd:/retroarch/savefiles/quickNES. I have also tried variations such as putting...

Yeah I did that. Unfortunately quickNES didn't load up that save either and it doesn't load/detect its self-made saves.

Yes I can read, I press start to exit Retroarch and it takes me back to the homebrew channel. I'm just providing all of the info I can in hopes that someone can help. If I knew what was wrong then I would certainly tell you.

Two things I noticed: 1. Getting an error when closing Retroarch "[ERROR] cannot push NULL or empty core info into the playlist." 2. quickNES saves are .srm whereas PC emulator saves are .sav. Still though, when I tried putting the .sav on the SD it still didn't work. This is really weird. :/...

Still nothing. I'm sorry I'm really new to this. If I knew what I was doing 'wrong' then I would tell you guys. I've tried placing the rom file in the same folder as the save file and that didn't work. Where should rom files be located on the SD? I'm assuming the save files are in the proper...

I can see that the game is saving and there are save files in folder sdmc:/retroarch/cores/savefiles/ but when I load the game the save doesn't load with it. The game starts on a fresh file on loading.

Exiting retroarch from the menu doesn't save the game data. That's why I'm asking for alternate methods to make sure the game saves. Can't exit or restart retroarch, can't go back to game's menu, so what is the proper way?

Does NES have a standard return to title screen input? I'm wondering how to exit properly since the game itself doesn't seem to have any back to menu options. The pause menu doesn't have anything like that.
