    Hacking PAL PS3 at 480i/p

I see. I guess if you did the same on a stock PS3, it'd just tell you the game's not supported, or something? It'd be interesting to see how PAL discs run on a soft-modded PAL PS3 with 480i/p enabled and all other resolutions disabled (using that param.sfo editor).

    Hacking PAL PS3 at 480i/p

Nice one, thanks. Does that mean you can actually enable 480i/p/60 in the settings with homebrew? I really no next to nothing about homebrew on the PS3.

    Hacking PAL PS3 at 480i/p

Is it possible to run PAL games at 480i/p with homebrew? I'd imagine the lack of 60 Hz SD support is purely a software lock from Sony.

    Hacking Nintendont

Is there any reason why PAL RE4 doesn't boot when forced to 480p? It gets to the 50/60 Hz title screen and then black screens from there, no matter which Hz you choose. It's strange too since, according to this, it works just fine with Swiss (unfortunately, I don't have an SD Gecko to test this...

Tutorial TN and IPS Displays - Which does my 3DS have?

Alright, thanks. Now, whether to spend €240 on a new orange/black N3DSXL with no guarantee of IPS screens, or €165-200 on a used Hyrule N3DSXL with a single or dual-IPS...

Are there any orange/black N3DSXLs with dual-IPS screens?

Hacking Patches to convert PAL 50hz games into PAL 60hz (Nintendont Compatible)

Looks like I'll be picking up the PAL version then. Thanks!

Hacking Patches to convert PAL 50hz games into PAL 60hz (Nintendont Compatible)

I have no idea what you guys did to restore PAL50 games to their original speed, but I'll take your word for it. Luigi's Mansion was actually the game that led me to this thread, since I'm trying to decide whether to buy the NTSC version for 480p/60 Hz or the PAL version for the added content...

Hacking Patches to convert PAL 50hz games into PAL 60hz (Nintendont Compatible)

How did you guys patch these games so easily, when it seemed like such a Herculean effort for developers to properly convert games back then? Do these run exactly like the NTSC versions?

So games essentially run the same as they would on a GC (in practice)?

    Hacking Nintendont

So, in other words, it's adjusting games to the higher clock speed inherent to the Wii/vWii mode, with essentially perfect accuracy? Is this done on a system basis or a game-by-game basis? While we're at it, I might as well ask if there's any practical difference between the Wii and vWii?

    Hacking Nintendont

Why have people stopped using Swiss? Does everyone play GC games on the Wii/Wii U instead? Don't want to sound like I'm shitting on Nintendont, because I really do appreciate what you guys have done with it. But, is there any difference in gameplay/graphics between a real GC and Nintendont in...

    Hacking Nintendont

I understand that. I'm just wondering if there's a homebrew launcher that works exactly like the disc launcher (along with the benefits of region-free games and video modes). Reason is I got NTSC copies of Mario Sunshine and Pikmin recently, and even with Priiloader, I can't play them through...
