    Have been trying this for the last few hours (and a few hours last night) without any success - very frustrating. Constantly getting either black screens or corrupted image screen. Got through to the menu maybe once (on NASA 1.1) but it froze before I could select anything - probably best it...

    Sorry for not including info - N3DS XL - Europe - v9.8 - I used Menuhax + Safesysupdater. I had only bought it the day before, so I might have gotten a replacement from the shop because it was 'broken' :teach: Will hold off a few days to see if any new tools come out before trying again...

    I had exactly the same issue with safesysupdater - going from 9.8 - 9.2. Used the correct files too - I've seen a couple of similar posts about it too.

    Homebrew [WIP] SafeSysUpdater

    It happened during the downgrade - it was going through the different filenames successfully, then I saw NATIVE_FIRM, which also seemed successful, it did another .cia file or two and then the screen changed to the error message suddenly. I've still got the files here, and they're the n3ds...

    I discovered this just now unfortunately, was downgrading a 9.8 N3DS XL to 9.2, kept running into the "failed to get" error with sysUpdater so switched to safeSysUpdater, half way through patching it randomly threw the Nintendo "An error has occurred, turn off power and turn it on again" error...
