    Dang, thanks for letting me know! I haven't ran into issues using the portal. it's just slow. Also can use a USB stick for some stuff. Wild how it unpacks zips. I'll have to try that.

    Make sure once you have the patched "data_release.l7c" file transfer it to "ux0:/repatch/PCSG00551" That's what got me, I kept putting it in the data folder. Thanks Team FULLCOMBO, Can't wait for finished DONDER QUEST!

    Sorry for the late reply! Thank you all so much for your answers. I found out I do have 1.93 firmware and the other day it just magically worked. It must have just been that TV or something :S

    Its just PS1 games. How do I know what firmware I'm using? the menu says 3.1m usbadv edition? if I do "color" won't it make jp games not work on this console? i'm confused

    NTSC (both US and JP) games still are black and white on composite. I don't have any PAL games to test until I get them cleaned today they are really scratched and won't boot at all.

    I thought I was pretty lucky to find a modded ps2 for pretty cheap. I hooked it up to a NTSC CRT with the regular composite cables and everything is working fine.     Followed a guide given to me here to get up to 4.2 and it works great but Now I can't install wads in wad manager 1.5 I keep getting error 1020...any ideas? I'm on that rev 14 cios
