    Just chiming in that I have also done just about all these things and have had no success. Black screens, freezing at "booting game", returning to Wii menu. My game works in Dolphin but not on the system.

    It drives me crazy. It's just so slow. It almost makes me not want to gather any materials in Monster Hunter. Is there a mod that exists or anything to increase the speed of the animation? Or am I going to have to start learning modding for myself?

    Thank you for the step-by-step! So I will still have access to cfw (but more importantly gm9) after the transfer? Otherwise I wouldn't be able to restore the backup, I'm assuming. That's really my main question here. Sorry for the noob here, but I just want the important details worked out.

    So I just click and drag the sysnand .bin file onto the sd card and I have all my cfw and other things back (aside from game files)? I haven't seen a definitive way of doing a nand restore, so I'm assuming you just put the file onto the card
