Star Fox 64 remake for the Switch 2 announced in surprise Nintendo Direct

How many times can they make the same game? They really don't know what to do with the Star Fox series story wise do they?

Gaming Copilot AI to come to Xbox consoles later this year

You know what Microsoft, I'm sorry. We mistreated Clippy and we've seen the error of our ways. We were mean to Clippy and this is our punishment. We will embrace Clippy with open arms, you can stop the punishment now.

Xbox announces "Project Helix", their next generation console for Xbox and PC games

I really hope they continue their confusing stupid ass naming conventions for their consoles. Can't wait for Xbox 180 Series X-Five S.

"Quest 64" recompilation project is now available in alpha stages

There seems to be an increasing amount of N64 decompilations. Is it due to increased interest in the system at this point or is it a case of shared code assets or something between games, where they're able to use stuff already done for other games so they aren't starting from scratch?

Gaming Creator of Hit Game Shovel Knight Is at a ‘Make or Break’ Moment

Didn't they spend like, 5 years creating free expansion packs for Shovel Knight? Free content doesn't usually bring in a good cash flow for expanding and continue creating more free content.

Xbox Game Pass increases in price, changes made to subscription tiers

If I wanted to subscribe to EA Play and Ubisoft+ Lite, I'd subscribe to EA Play and Ubisoft+. But I don't. So thanks for forcing it in to something else and upping the price. I guess I secretly wanted to subscribe to EA Play and Ubisoft+ all along and just needed someone to tell me I was going to.

Forsaken 64 is the next addition to the Nintendo Switch Online retro lineup

I didn't know this even had a 64 port. I prefer Descent though as my choice for nausea inducing "6 degrees of freedom".

Game Key Cards - an improved digital release or stripped down physical cartridge?

This is already a confusing mess. No Sleep for Kaname Date is going to be a game key card release on Switch 2, and the cover art that has been released does not have that banner at the bottom indicating such. But Best Buy for example in the product description at the very end says "Please note...

Nintendo Switch 2 announced by Nintendo

Wtf is that sliver of plastic kick stand? Why can't we just have a solid slice of plastic that folds out? This one looks like it would break if I stared at it wrong.

Epic Games lays off around 16% of employees

I mean, they could maybe put teams on other projects that aren't Fortnite. Like back on the Unreal Tournament game they were making and killed when Fortnite took off. They went all in on Fortnite. All their eggs in one Fortnite basket.

Publisher Annapurna Interactive has its entire staff resign after dispute

The movie division had some financial troubles in 2019 and their movie output has gone from multiple a year to one a year since then and they have not been money makers. My guess is the game division wanted to be fully spun off into their own company to protect themselves if the parent company...

Apple's AAA mobile gaming efforts seem to be failing

I don't know, maybe people don't want to play large scale games on a tiny ass screen propped against a box as you sit a couple feet from it. Games designed for the phone from the start that are designed around the screen size and lack of buttons I have no problem with.

8.5 Gigabyte CDs have smaller size

Is it about 7.9 GBs of storage space? The difference comes from how computers calculate size vs what companies calculate size as. There are 1024 bytes in a kilobyte, 1024 kilobytes in a megabyte, and 1024 megabytes in a gigabyte. Companies calculate size by saying, eh, 1000 is close enough. It...
