8.5 Gigabyte CDs have smaller size

Is it about 7.9 GBs of storage space? The difference comes from how computers calculate size vs what companies calculate size as. There are 1024 bytes in a kilobyte, 1024 kilobytes in a megabyte, and 1024 megabytes in a gigabyte. Companies calculate size by saying, eh, 1000 is close enough. It...

"Sonic Drift" gets a full 16-bit remake from the same creators of "Sonic Triple Trouble 16-bit"

Windows 12 will release out in year 2024

I just bought 2 new desktops for work that came with Windows 11 Home and first thing I did was downgrade them to Windows 10, then upgrade them to Windows 10 Pro. I will avoid upgrading until I'm forced to or they release another solid OS that after years of being out, has better compliments than...

Pendulo Studios apologise for state of Tintin game ahead of launch

I'm going to start a company that specializes in making these apology letter images for game studios. Seems to be a growing market.

PlayStation 5 "Slim" teardown shows off size comparison to the original console

I have held off on buying a PS5 to wait for a slim model because it's so damn big and ugly. This...does not really fix either.

"Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster" gets a confirmed release date of February 28th, 2024

This on the PS1 was one of the only games to make me physically nauseous to play for too long. This and Descent on PC. And only 1 of those seems justifiable.

Rumor Sony allegedly hacked by Ransomed.vc group

Look guys, if you want to hack someone for the notoriety or money, then just do that. Don't try and act like you're some kind of good guys. We are in strict compliance with the law....except for blackmailing Sony...but besides that, all on the up and up...and selling their hacked data...but...

New study by "Video Game History Foundation" reveals more than 86% of classic video games are unavailable in the US

I mean, if you actually included all games regardless of quality or historical meaning, it has to be like, less than 1%. The Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum have thousands of games each. We don't even know how many games there are for those because no one was documenting those things back then.

Sealed copy of Pokemon Yellow graded A+ allegedly destroyed by US Customs

I mean, if someone was going to smuggle drugs into the country, wouldn't this be the kind of thing they'd hide it in? Inside a product that is literally made to not be opened because it's a collectible? At the same time, I always wondered on those TV shows that show them slicing open books and...

Microsoft will no longer give away Xbox 360 games for Games With Gold

They'll probably follow Sony's lead. Give away 2 Vita, 2 PS3, and 2 PS4 games. Many of the games were cross-platform, so PS4 you could get 4 or 5 games every month. Then they axed the free Vita and PS3 games. Did they do more? Nope, still just 2 PS4 games. Now that PS5 is out, we also get a PS5...

E3 2022 has been cancelled; ESA says event will return in 2023

They should bring back the old format of an hour long powerpoint presentation of pie charts and bar graphs for their sales and goals, with a trailer or two interspersed throughout. And I want the only way to be able to watch it is an audience member's shaky cam recording. The good ol days, lol.

Having actually seen the movie in theaters, I was entertained from start to finish and would watch a sequel.

Platinum Games showing interest in being acquired. Who will it be?

Why would they be looking for a buyout so soon after making a big hoopla about independently publishing their own games to retain the rights? I'm pretty sure I read they gave up their portion of rights to Astral Chain to get full rights to Wonderful 101 so they could publish it on other platforms.
