Hacking Stubbed system menu IOS but no booting problem?

Oh, I thought the falsification was just speculation. But, no, it didn't happen. Talking with the original poster of the log, I asked if he used PimpMyWii, based on what mauifrog wrote, and he confirmed using PimpMyWii some days ago. This is probably the end of the mystery.

Hacking Stubbed system menu IOS but no booting problem?

XFlak, why reinstalling system menu 4.0/4.1 after a stubbed IOS60 would cause a semi-brick, not a full brick? The sm would still be booted?

Hacking Stubbed system menu IOS but no booting problem?

Really? Didn't know PimpMyWii did that, I guess rev number has no importance as long as the IOS still works. By the way, that app was known for causing some problems, is it still problematic nowadays?

Hacking Stubbed system menu IOS but no booting problem?

Here's a copy of the sysCheck log: sysCheck v2.0.1 by Double_A ...runs on IOS58 (rev 6176). Region: NTSC-U System Menu 4.1U (v449) Hollywood v0x11 Console ID: Boot2 v2 Found 93 titles. Found 41 IOS on this console. 10 of them are stub. IOS4 (rev 65280): Stub IOS9 (rev 1034): Trucha Bug IOS10...

Hacking Stubbed system menu IOS but no booting problem?

I've checked some sysCheck logs posted around and one them showed a 4.1U Wii with its system menu IOS stubbed. Even though, the person who posted the log said the Wii was booting just fine. I do know Priiloader can change the IOS used to load the system menu executable, but Priiloader itself is...

Hacking We Dare and CSi games

Why the block works for discs and sneek? I lack knowledge to understand why preventing an IOS reload while playing with a disc couldn't be done on a hdd. Also, I thought sneek/uneek behaved the same way as the real nand, so it would have many of its shortcomings.

    Hacking Kirby 001 Error

WiiPower, if TC has an old dvd drive (not D3+), then the modchip would still matter? I mean, the games could be read entirely by softmod, then the modchip wouldn't interfere with the cIOS work. Or even that way the modchip finds a way to activate itself and read the game?

    Hacking Configurable USB Loader

Sometimes, when I'm playing Goldeneye's single player campaign, the game freezes with the annoying buzzing sound. I've tried most recent versions of Waninkoko's and Hermes' cIOSes and still the problem happens sometimes. Could anyone tell me what's going on with the game?

Hacking Best tool or method for ripping an entire HDD partition?

I'm buying a new HDD, so I want to rip the wbfs partition I already have in my current HDD. The problem is, I use WBFS Manager and I've read about problems with ripping partitions with this program. Some games would end up corrupted, so I'd need to keep the old HDD with the games for precaution...

Why would formatting Wii memory would cause a brick?

    Hacking Configurable USB Loader

About games covers, is there a chance Cfg Loader could prompt you to choose from which region you want the covers from? You can do it manually, replacing a cover from your region with a cover from another region, in your SD Card, but it's kinda time consuming. Since WiiTDB has already covers...

    Hacking Configurable USB Loader

I've read about some people who found rev20 of Waninkoko's cIOS faster and more compatible with their games on a FAT32 partition. Since the "FAT version" of Cfg Loader is still called Cfg-222, I suppose Hermes is still better? I'd like to use a FAT partition, but Hermes v4 is kinda outdated...

    Hacking cIOSX rev20 released

Hope the easter egg isn't that "Lorena I love you" thing. Well, it's kinda an easter egg, but not the one people look after.

Hacking Why do games have an alternative dol?

It does make sense about Metroid Prime Trilogy, but SSX Blur is pretty dull. C'mon, can't you put the "don't destroy your things with the wiimote" screen in the same dol? All the other games do that. Metal Slug Anthology is also curious, since you use an alternative dol for one of its games, but...
