Hardware How do you cool your Pc?

What about the Mac Pro trash can design? And other cases that simulate it like the BottleNext Entropy and the Cryorig Ola? Supposedly, the unified, cylindrical design allows the airflow to move only in one direction (up) and that cools the system in a more efficient way. What do you think...

Android Newer apps on older Android version

Thanks for the information. For an operating system that takes so much pride on itself for being "open-source", there surely is some well-thought, forced obsolescence horseshit going on... I will check out more about custom roms, but as I said, I'm not fiddling with this particular phone...

Once again, the download links don't work.

Yes, lol, I get it. I'm just not putting any bullshit rom on my phone again. I'll try it on an old tablet. lol.

Thanks. But I will try the rom on another device. If it's successful, I might use it on the GT-S5570 too.

Isn't Nougat for touch screen only devices? The home and menu buttons appear on screen, but the GT-S5570 already has physical buttons. If they also appear on this custom rom, there's no point to lose any screen real-estate.

Android Newer apps on older Android version

Doesn't say anywhere what Android version it features but judging by the fact that it was released around the end of 2011, it's probably way outdated, even for a custom rom.

Android Newer apps on older Android version

Well, I installed a custom recovery, tried two different Cyanogenmod versions (10.1 and 11) and none of them worked. The phone kept bootlooping I and had to install back the official 2.3.6 Gingerbread Android. The XDA forum is a damn mess of unfinished custom roms and more than half of the...

Thanks again for all the responses. I'll see what can I do with my device and I will report back.

Android Newer apps on older Android version

I'm browing the XDA forums right now and t's a bit overwhelming with so many choices. I see there are unofficial ports of more recent Android versions, but I'm looking for a more lightweight solution.

Android Newer apps on older Android version

Well, the phone did recognize the package but it just says that the app could not be installed. I guess I have to update to a custom rom. I was thinking if there is a rom for Android devices similar to what Lubuntu is for Linux PCs. That is, a very light, up to date version that is ideal to run...

Android Newer apps on older Android version

Yes, but I always thought it would be better to keep the OS in its time frame because it wouldn't strain the hardware as much as a newer version.

Android Newer apps on older Android version

It's Android version 2.2.1 I have the APKs because I download them manually on the PC.

Android Newer apps on older Android version

Thanks for the quick answer. 2. The older version of the app already exceeds my phone's Anroid version. 1. Could you point me to the process that this method would require?
