Homebrew [Release] [Multi-platform GUI] HiyaCFW Helper

I'm getting this error when installing TWiLight Menu++ with this tool on Fedora 28: Exception in thread Thread-17: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib64/python2.7/threading.py", line 804, in __bootstrap_inner self.run() File "/usr/lib64/python2.7/threading.py", line 757...

    Homebrew [Release] Relaunch

WinterMute tends to do things properly rather than quickly. It took a very long time for citro2d to come out after all, but it's out now and to my knowledge it's the best 2D graphics library for the 3DS.

On the contrary, he does appear to be working on a safer solution. Here's an excerpt taken from the Flipnote Lenny page:

Homebrew Unlaunch DSi | First public bootcode exploit for DSi

Generally speaking, 1.3 should be stable. A critical bug was fixed in this version which was causing all of the version upgrade issues everyone has been having.

Homebrew Unlaunch DSi | First public bootcode exploit for DSi

I was able to upgrade from 1.1 to 1.2, but I wasn't able to boot the 1.2 installer directly through Unlaunch. Instead I had Unlaunch boot hbmenu, and used that to load up the 1.2 installer.

Homebrew Unlaunch DSi | First public bootcode exploit for DSi

Sadly it doesn't, I emailed nocash about the possibility of adding the functionality but he never replied back and the functionality still isn't there. This counts as the unsafe method I was talking about, as it requires a full NAND reflash. I have seen systems brick while reflashing their...

Homebrew Unlaunch DSi | First public bootcode exploit for DSi

Yes, my system has Unlaunch v1.1 and works with HiyaCFW.

Homebrew Unlaunch DSi | First public bootcode exploit for DSi

I don't own the cfw.guide domain, so I have no control over the advertisements, the advertisement token is not mine, and revenue does not go to me. Plailect is using a publicly available Jekyll theme called Minimal Mistakes, which most other "guide" sites subsequently adopted. It's Luke's old...

Homebrew Unlaunch DSi | First public bootcode exploit for DSi

Resorting to personal attacks twice in a row now while dodging any questions or points I bring up isn't helping your case. Prove me wrong, then. If I'm making a terrible point, surely you can dispute it objectively rather than using baseless (and incorrect!) accusations.

Homebrew Unlaunch DSi | First public bootcode exploit for DSi

On the contrary, I'm quite calm. You seem to be the one who keeps saying the guide is unsafe because it doesn't make a "proper" and "safe" backup, when in actuality the backup is fine and fwTool is a dangerously unsafe power user tool that the common end-user shouldn't be using for restores. I...

Homebrew Unlaunch DSi | First public bootcode exploit for DSi

I shouldn't even bother replying as I've tried to make you understand this multiple times, but I am against my better judgement. Restoring a NAND backup is unsafe, and nobody should be doing it. The bricks you're talking about is because people are using fwTool to restore. fwTool is a very...

Hacking SX OS contains brick code!

If by "they" you're referring to Reswitched, they're not the ones reversing SXOS. Different people are doing it for different motivations. Again, different teams. You're making the fallacy that the same people who are working on Atmosphere have given up time in their day to crack SXOS instead...

Tutorial Extract and Decrypt games, NAND backups, and SD contents with ninfs

Your NAND isn't "clean", but Unlaunch itself is a very non-intrusive exploit. It's quite small and just attaches itself to the launcher's TMD file, and removing it from a NAND backup is as easy as trimming the launcher TMD back to size. There's no on-device tools to do this yet, though, but I...

Homebrew [Release] HiyaCFW - World's FIRST Nintendo DSi CFW!

Did you end up getting it working? You haven't responded to the GitHub issue (assuming you're thomleg50, going off of similar problem and similar grammar/username) TWLNF backup is not their problem in this case. You can see from an image they provided on the GitHub issue...

    Homebrew [Release] Flipnote ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I've added a section to the guide that will render this unnecessary. As HiyaCFW can autoboot to a title, we can instruct it to autoboot to SRLoader. SRLoader doesn't care about the SD card size, or DSiWare block limit. It does add a slightly increased startup time for DSiWare, but I think that's...
