    Trying to figure out the name of this arcade game.

    I think the game you're thinking of is called "Metamorphic Force". If that's the one, I loved that game. There used to be a machine at a local skating rink and my friends and I used to have to pay the stupid entry fee to get in just to play it. We never even skated. lol

    I was really bummed out about this because FF6 is one of my favorite SNES games but then I was messing around in the settings and found that if you disable transparency (makes the text box look like FF4, you can't see overworld map, and you miss out on the cool magic effects, etc.) or enable FPS...
