    i would try waninkoko's firmware downgrader to reinstall a firmware if that doesn't work try using nintendo's leaked repair disc. forsaekn has been using that to recover but i don't know how exactly to use it myself.

    try deleting the VC and Wiiware channels within the wii data management menu, then re-install them with wad-manager or just straight re-installing with wad manager if you can't delete them within the wii menu as long as you keep your save files they should restore as if they never left.

    The people who would do that sort of thing are the same people who are smart enough to not update in the first place. also it might not be that simple, new shop channel might check your version or check the new patched IOSes or something.

    even if they have it installed, the update patches all the bugged IOSs and the downgrader wont fix those, thus making you still screwed. sit tight though I hear a real solution is in the works.
