    Same issue using Verbatim DVD+R DL and switched to Verbatim DVD+R DL RW and it worked like a charm.

    Not sure if it makes a diffrence but I am dealing with the Ntsc-US version of SSBB. The original does not work but my backup does without flaw.

    Same issue and I resoled it using the Verbatim DVD+R DL RW rather then the regular DVD+R DL media. Good Luck
