    Well I figured out the problem from reading about a problem someone else had. It was caused by startpatch 4.1. I turned off all of them except for skip disc check and bingo it worked again. Just thought I would post and put it out there in case someone else had the same problem. Thanks again.

    Noob Question: I recently installed the Gamecube backup launcher from Wiigator. It installed fine and I am able to play backups just fine. I can even play it through the wii backup channel.
