Party like it's 2011 as Skyrim releases on the Nintendo Switch 2

Really starting to wonder if Bethesda is actually making anything new right now, or just plans on re-re-releasing Skyrim for the rest of eternity until they fold under their own incompetence. Its one of the best mod platforms ever developed. Too bad Nintendo doesn't allow game mods on their...

Valve says that the Steam Machine will be priced like a PC, not a console

Just gonna sit here watching History Repeat Itself, I guess. I wonder if it'll even be powerful enough to stream seamlessly to the wireless VR set they're proposing - which will be important if its the first device that they'll work out of the box on. Ultimately this doesn't matter, because...

    potential Switch2 software exploit confirmed?

The Switch line has had many similarities to the PSP/Vita in this manner. The first one was hacked early in its run and never shook off that stigma. So for the next version/iteration, they seriously over-engineered the security to make it nigh-unhackable at the start (although savvy modders...

    potential Switch2 software exploit confirmed?

It would be hilarious if someone confirming an exploit on the Switch 2 caused sales to suddenly spike.

Nintendo is requesting $4.5 million in damages from a Reddit moderator

More likely they're aiming to make an example out of him, like they do with most of their lawsuits. People see big numbers in the millions and don't consider that A) the vast majority of individuals cannot possibly hope to pay that much in their lifetime, and B) because of that, they'll likely...

GOG celebrates 17th anniversary and adds 'Clair Obscur: Expedition 33', 'Rise of the Tomb Raider' and 'Shadow of the Tomb Raider' to its library

Three solid titles. Will have to keep my eyes out for a decent sale when I have money again t-t Just wish they stuck to that more firmly, but its a scant number of title. For the most part they are all DRM free, which is great! Really want more publishers worked with them, but at least they...

DHS just summoned the Nintendo Ninjas

Of course this stays up, while any video made by some teen in their basement that so much as hums half a second of the theme on their video in the background gets DMCA'd and C&D'd out of existence. Wouldn't this be considered defamatory towards the IP? Even if you have permission, I would think...

Microsoft will raise the price of Xbox consoles in the US yet again

Oh yeah... I almost forgot about that with all the other Looney Tunes shit going around. Wonder if the new FCC director dropped the charges against M$ quietly because I haven't heard jack about their laswuit against them for attempted monopolizing after buying ActiBlizz in some time

Palworld is getting a farming sim spinoff game called Palfarm

My thoughts exactly. Nintendo: "Dammit, now we have to sue them all over again!" I have no pity for Nintendo, or corpos in general. They burned that bridge when they started killing off non-profit fan projects. I hope PocketPair wins the lawsuits against them, because Nintendo needs some bruising.

Gaming Borderlands 4 has TWO DRM Layers and requires a 8-Core CPU.

Actually looking at the user notes, seems to be a very mixed bag trending towards the negative. But most seem to be unable to get it running even on Proton, and Deck is unsupported (though obviously not impossible).

Sega Mistakenly Trashes Nintendo Dev Kits, Then Calls Police on Buyer

Wonder if the buyer boasted about their find online. If you ever find junked dev units, never ever post about it until you have everything backed up and are lawyered-up. Or just don't ever tell anyone and release the stuff anonymously, if you want to do so in that manner. Honestly not sure why...

Gaming Borderlands 4 has TWO DRM Layers and requires a 8-Core CPU.

The proprietary nature means there's no basis to start from. Denuvo has been cracked before, and will be cracked again unless the company making it entirely rewrites the code, because there's code to base it off of. But totally new code will require much longer to fix crack through, and...
