    what also, this post is a few years old now. if anyone else finds it, i uh... don't need help anymore. those two bytes at the end of the .rsd files is a checksum.

    trying to get the images needed to make the icons for the Wii Sports + Wii Sports Resort combo disc, but it seems tools like Wii Banner Viewer don't work anymore. could i just make a request to add this game to the GitHub? or are there other tools i can use that work?

    okay i know for a fact this isn't true because i literally did. i even byte-compared them with latest firmware files and they were indeed the different, older files. :p

    how is it not possible if i just did it? again, i feel like you're avoiding the other 75% of my message. i mentioned there were other things i would be willing to try to achieve my goal, which i successfully did. saying "it is not possible" is only referring to my first sentence.

    okay... but you're leaving out the other 75% of my message: i did end up finding a solution after asking around a bit, though. particularly pertaining to getting update files from Nintendo's servers. ;p

    is there any way to downgrade from the latest version to 5.4.0? i have a fully modded Wii U but there are some NAND files i need to obtain from specifically USA/PAL Wii U versions pre-5.0.0, so unless there's a way i can just download the files i need directly from Nintendo's update servers...

    boy this thread is old yeah i've learned so much more about Mii data files since i made this thread. the bytes are a sort of checksum, yes, only present in .rsd files and not .rcd files. i've already replaced Miis in Wii Sports Resort, so by generating a new checksum for a Mii data file you can...
