nvm you already tested what I wrote but I can tell ya that if its a system update you wont be able to see your actual firmware in the system settings, cause it uses the same line as the notification about a new system update. "system update ready" instead of "4.1 in my case- Hazebabe

Seems like mario kart has 2 revisions of cartridges. The 0000 version works on your actual fw. The 0001 version needs a fw higher than 4.0.1. Just google for firmware games switch. Somewhere on gbatemp is a list- Hazebabe
