    If anyone can give some advice on this, I'd be really grateful. My current theory is that with the Wii remote being unofficial, the manufacturer has cut corners. Leaving out the part needed for Mii storage and transference.

    Yes I did, but i'm not getting a blank scree. It's telling me the save game is currupt and asks if i want to delete. I click yes and it just sits there "Saving, Please do not touch the power" Could this be something to do with the Cios i installed?
