    Thanks, I'll check eBay and see if I can get a cheap one. It doesn't sound like it starts up, would just getting the motor and spindle assembly be a fix or should I just get an entire drive?

    Thanks for the input guys, just wanted to make sure I didn't do something wrong with settings. the drive doesn't even sound like it's attempting to read so it's most likely bad. So my next question is how easy is swapping a drive? Is it as easy as just replacing? I know some systems "marry"...

    I would like some input on this dilemma.... I modded my friend's wii a long time ago. Warned him about updating and it seems he decided to update one random day he told me. Games don't load anymore, this may or may not correlate since I don't have the whole story. Anyway the HBC was missing...
