Hacking SWITCH NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Thanks! So using SDSetup is no longer used/recommended? I remember using it last time as it bundled a bunch of things together but not sure if there's any advantage over just getting atmosphere from the official repo

Hacking SWITCH NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

So I'm REALLY out of the loop on the current "meta" of switch hacks, so I'll shoot here: I just revived my V1 switch with autorcm (was out of charge, just charged and booted it back up) and it's on sys version 9.2 and atmosphere 0.10.5. What's the current best method for updating? (both sys to...

Hacking SWITCH NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

So I have my switch on Airplane mode and haven't used it in a while. OFW is 8.1.0 and Atmosphere is 0.9.2 If I want to update to latest OFW and ATM, I should: 1-Download latest atms, replace on sd 2-Get and download FW files from *somewhere* 3-Update OFW with Choidujour? Thanks I'm a bit...

Hacking SWITCH NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Quickie one. I am using one of the latest kosmos with autoRCM, but am on FW 5.1 I believe, in airplane mode since forever. What's the best way to update to the latest FW without risking going online and getting a ban? Getting the update files and using choidujour?

Hacking My switch does not read the payload

No it's not possible, read the second reply on that link. It's not a software issue but rather a hardware one.

What phone are you using? Incredibly, some modern, more budget phones do not support OTG (My huawei p8 lite doesn't and it sucks)

Hacking RELEASE You know guys deja Vu is out?

So what I gather from my very limited programming knowledge, they are splitting the emunand file, and/or maybe using a different partition for it?
  8. Garrincho

Hacking RELEASE You know guys deja Vu is out?

So if this were to be the case, and emunand was a single file, would it be largen than 4gb? Because in that case you'd be pretty much forced to use exFat

Hacking RELEASE You know guys deja Vu is out?

Yes it's slowly coming to shape! Now just wait for emunand and we're all set. Now, why do people jump the gun on these unnoficial, untested releases? EVEN if it's an official release, you're better off giving it a few weeks to iron out the (unavoidable) issues and bugs that come the first time...

Hacking RELEASE Nereba Exploit: Reboot to Fusée Gelée payload from stock firmware.

You can downgrade to any firmware you want, anytime, no matter the fuses. BUT To boot it if you burned more fuses than the corresponding ones for that FW, you'd still need to use a custom bootloader (in essence rcm exploit ) since the official one will refuse to do so. So even if you did...

Hacking RELEASE Nereba Exploit: Reboot to Fusée Gelée payload from stock firmware.

So once this reaches more firmwares... Does it really have any advantages over the regular rcm exploit? (if your unit isn't patched ofc)

So this is all but confirmed, right? We'll get warmboot soon(tm)?

    Hacking RELEASE Kosmos - A Hekate CFW-package

So just for clarification, I just need to add the option to the boot list, and nothing else? No additional files needed?

    Hacking RELEASE Kosmos - A Hekate CFW-package

So I want to switch from rajnx to kosmos (generated from the sdsetup wizard). Thing is, I have updated without burning fuses, from 3.0 to 5.1. Does the included payload have the option to boot cfw+nogc fuse check? Also this wouldn't burn fuses on reboot to hekate, right?

I like electronics that use detachable cables, that way if the cable breaks you can just swap in a new one instead of replacing the whole unit

the L hdmi adapters work great on my tv and receiver. so much less stress on the ports using them than regular cables. in that instance anyway.

@RedColoredStars, I also listen to Beck, some of their songs are fine. Only found out about them through Windows Me; you know, that one operating system nobody ever likes?
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
i dont know why tv manufactures put the hdmi ports in dumb locations so the cables have to stick out, and then down, putting strain on the ports. Instead of having the ports along the bottom edge of the tv facing downwards.
