Homebrew SCFW: Custom Firmware & Kernel for Supercard

Is that a fricking Undertale reference?! Seriously, good job on that!

Homebrew SCFW: Custom Firmware & Kernel for Supercard

No, you are good to go. I'm using a modded GBA SP too and have this feature on since I flashed my supercard. No issues whatsoever. Why I mentioned the problems with the original GBA is because my brother owns one and has those difficulties and had his saves erased several times before we found...

Homebrew SCFW: Custom Firmware & Kernel for Supercard

There's no need to do that anymore as each time you turn off and restart your GBA SP/DS the SRAM is saved on your SD card thanks to the autosave feature. And what's nice is that your save will be there waiting for it to be saved even for days as long as your battery in your supercard is still...

Thanks. I even managed to get the 2.69 modifying the link. Still, save menu is glitched on my bro's GBA and previous glitches are still present

Do you possibly have a link to patcher 2.69?

That's not the case here. I tried what you say with both of our supercards and no success

Homebrew SCFW: Custom Firmware & Kernel for Supercard

Upatched ROMs on stock firmware don't work on either GBA and SP. What I'm interested in, does the saving menu work for you? (L + R + SELECT + A). It appears glitched on my bro's original GBA

Homebrew SCFW: Custom Firmware & Kernel for Supercard

I don't understand why this happens though. At first I thought it might be caused by the IPS mod not giving enough power to the catridge. Wrong, happens even on the original screen. I'm starting to think it's caused by the revision of the GBA's motherboard because I've seen videos on youtube or...

Homebrew SCFW: Custom Firmware & Kernel for Supercard

I have a question. I own a GBA SP and my brother regular GBA. We both own a supercard. The problem is that supercard on my bro's GBA is acting like crazy, games have graphical glitches or even won't load. The SC Normal save menu appears completely glitched and can't be used (saves must be...

Homebrew SCFW: Custom Firmware & Kernel for Supercard

You need a DS flashcart. Then you can run a flashing tool from it that overwrites the supercard with working firmware. It's older than the one that's being sold nowadays but you can update it with ofw.frm through scfw kernel. I bricked my supercard too so I had to buy DS and a DS flashcart but...

How do you even play DS game on the stock firmware? I didn't find any way to run .NDS ROMs. They just won't appear

Saving works just fine on my SuperCard. I only get a message that the save file is "Corrupted" but it's actually completely fine and working

Homebrew SCFW: Custom Firmware & Kernel for Supercard

It didn't work in the stock firmware? I had no problems with Pokémon games

Homebrew SCFW: Custom Firmware & Kernel for Supercard

I have a question. When I tried to flash my first SuperCard with the CFW it got bricked and now stays on a white screen after boot. We discussed this on the github page and we couldn't do anything about it because I didn't have a DS. But now I finally have it and I have a second SuperCard too...

Homebrew SCFW: Custom Firmware & Kernel for Supercard

I second that. Because the custom firmware automatically patches the ROMs for you, you no longer need to patch them using the SuperCard software. If you do, it will cause problems (Mostly glitched Nintendo logo, you'll get stuck on bios screen). As mentioned, you only need to put your ROMs to...

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
    +1
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
