Hacking Multiple bins to 1 eboot with PSX2PSP?

Late to the party here but I just found the thread while Googling for something else. You don't need to mount .cue files to do this. Here's a Python script that merges the .bin files into one: https://github.com/putnam/binmerge And here's a Bash script that you can use to automate the above...

    Playstation classic

Thanks for getting back to me, guys. Through trial and error, it seems MacOS doesn't like it. I took the same console and cable to a Windows machine and it connected immediately. Took it back to the Mac and nope. Guess I'll be editing my games on the Windows machine!

I just cannot get the FTP or Telnet to work. Both just hang before timing out. I've followed the steps exactly and even gone a little further to also install BleemSync, thinking perhaps that step had been accidentally missed from the guide. But NOPE! Despite everything else working fine...

Firmware 3DS firmware 11.8.0-41 out, is actually stable and broke support for Luma3DS - fix now available

Yeah, thanks for the answer. The problem was that people have been posting confusing messages on here that seem to contradict each other. Like saying "you can install a CIA with FBI", but also saying "you can't get your CIAs with tools like CIAngel"... and I was just like, "Well what's wrong...

    Hacking 11.8 Online

Gotcha. So it's not the installation process itself that is compromised (as was implied on the thread I read), but the actual downloading of the CIA in the first place that is broken. OK, now it makes sense. So as long as we find a new way of getting the CIA, we're good. Now I'm glad I backed...

    Hacking 11.8 Online

There's one thing I don't understand here. On one hand you're saying that it's OK to install CIAs with FBI... but on the other, you're saying that we cannot download CIAs with FunKeyCIA etc. But FunKeyCIA generates CIAs - which can be installed with FBI which is apparently safe. So on the one...

Firmware 3DS firmware 11.8.0-41 out, is actually stable and broke support for Luma3DS - fix now available

Then it's a sad day. But thanks for the answer! Update: I see people are recommending Villain3DS but I'm not running Windows. If Villain3DS is safe then what about https://github.com/llakssz/FunKeyCIA?

Firmware 3DS firmware 11.8.0-41 out, is actually stable and broke support for Luma3DS - fix now available

But what about CIAngel's ability to download CIAs without installing? Couldn't you just continue to download with CIAngel and install with FBI? Or is the downloading of the CIA through CIAngel also dangerous?

Hacking PKGj not working after SDtoVita

Thanks for the tip. I couldn't understand what the fuck the problem was - directory was ok, file was ok, URLs were all ok. So they broke https support in 0.13 then.

Homebrew Disc2app stuck dumping title 23/23 at 12%

Did you get anywhere with this? The app has frozen for me on maybe 4-5 games, and like you said about yours, the discs are all in mint and sometimes brand new condition. Very frustrating.

Homebrew Switch Hacking & Homebrew Discussion

I didn't see anyone say that piracy was the main reason for failure. But piracy obviously doesn't help. No developer or publisher looks at a console and says, "Hey, this thing is cracked wide open so we should definitely port our games over to it." The Xbox 360 and PS3 were well supported, but...

Homebrew [Release]JK's SaveManager - Homebrew CIA Save manager.

Congratulations. That is the expected behaviour though. What I'm saying here is that it isn't working for me, and I'm asking if anyone knows why. People telling me that theirs works fine is of no help whatsoever.

Homebrew [Release]JK's SaveManager - Homebrew CIA Save manager.

Yeah I'm sure it is when it works. But it doesn't seem to work on Luma3DS with a 128GB card installed.

Homebrew [Release]JK's SaveManager - Homebrew CIA Save manager.

This happens with Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7... so I'm guessing it should work with those, right? :(

I haven't been gaming for such a long time. Been mostly busy with sleep, hardware tinkering and checking GBAtemp frequently.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Hope you've had a good morning.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
It's going alright thanks :) I know what you mean with gaming time. It's precious where I can get it these days.

I think that's why I focus on just enjoying single player experiences that aren't too competitive
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
    How are you doing?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
There's also this thing where I'm hyperfocused at night and cannot get to sleep.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Maximumbeans, I'm doing alright, thanks.

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.

@Maximumbeans, I had a friend who had a glass chess set for their birthday.

It was like all clear and fancy. Tbf I'm not too experienced with chess, but would like to learn someday.
