    I believe its because the way most of the payload is executed is through the GPU. When you run an exploit, the code that is executed is loaded into the frame buffer (the next frame for the screen to display) and is "displayed." Since its not a formatted video frame, it comes out as random...

    I know exactly which step it is. :) I was installing the memchunk2 version of FBI (for installing legit CIAs on 10.3) to my SysNAND and it was crashing repeatedly. Make sure that: 1) You are installing a version of FBI before creating an EmuNAND 2) You are installing the correct version!

    Figured it out. I was installing the memchunk2 version of FBI before creating the nands so it would crash on boot every time. Make sure you guys are installing the correct CIA manager to your SysNAND before continuing.

    Hey, I'm one of the guys with a n3ds which doesnt seem to boot any CFW. I used an older version of rxTools Nightlies and got a native_firm: 4 error, think it could be related?

    No CFW will work for you. dont know why yet.

    Yup. I'm going to try another SD card and see if that changes anything, but I am pretty sure its a bugged DG. auto Different SD card didnt fix anything. seems like a Downgrade issue for sure.

    Downgraded via both sysUpdaters (the older one and steveice10's). Both times I was unable to boot into CFW, unsure as to why.

    serial number auto I agree. I have done both sysupdater's and got the same result, the earlier one as well as the one posted by steveice10. Maybe I used the wrong CIAs when downgrading?

    There is no reason for them to use another private ARM9 exploit, ntrcardhax gives kernel-level code execution and can be fed data via the gateway card, nothing else is needed. Using a private ARM9 exploit will just ensure it gets patched sooner, rather than holding on to it when a patch does come.

    Hah my mistake, I was looking at something else for my own repo. All he has commited is mapping memory. I am working on an o3DS and encountering some different results from what is expected, and I am betting a few other are as well. Theres still a long way to go to having a PoC.
