Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Hi guys, I salvaged the mosfet from an unused v1 flex cable and I need to install it into a Mariko switch. According to a previous poster, it's a NP2016 mosfet (Here's the data sheet). It has the same layout of the other more used mosfet and it looks a little bit weaker (but it was on the...

Simple question: I have a broken flex cable lying around. Is it possible to salvage the mosfet and use it on a standalone mosfet install?

It's an image, not a video. By the way it's most likely purple and that means that you should check your DAT0 or CLK connection

I'm now facing a new install and I'm thinking: would it make sense to rip on purpose the traces you don't need on the flex cable?

You forgot to solder the two anchors

Since no one was able to reply, I did my own tests and I can now tell you all those three points are ground and I was able to boot safely. So this is just a reminder that you don't need to panic if you accidentally bridge two or all three of those capacitors to get a gnd connection for the chip

Oook, I had everything tested but for some reason I decided to reflow everything and OF COURSE I bridges three small caps (those where you pick ground from). But honestly, they just look like they're on the same trace and I would really love if I could avoid unbridging those little guys and...

That's great. Love you guys! Also, do I have to cut the cpu metal shield for flex cable?

That would be great, if anyone else can confirm

Sadly I ripped the pad needed on the flex cable. Is there any way to keep using it or should I just order a new one? :(
