Ok, thanks but as a non-techie that doesn't mean much to me. Does this mean I need to install something other than the ISO image I have, which I thought was designed to correct this problem? I think the real issue I have now is that my Wii won't read any of the ISO image discs that I write...- Fredolow

Yes, I'd figured that much out myself. My question was how to get my Wii up and running again now that it's in ths state i.e. get my settings back? Or are you saying that because I've inadverntantly updated a US Wii with an EU update that that's the reason it won't read the discs with the ISO...- Fredolow

Or, I also heard that if you use flash memory, it can act as more "RAM" at least windows tell me when I stick a flash drive into it. -
