Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Look, I don't know why you are so angry about it. The chip just says "Picofly Core" but it looks completely like an HWFLY and there are loads of clones all over aliexpress. I made a clarification and I already acknowledged that it wasn't needed and that you didn't like it at all. It's all fine...

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

You gotta chill, lol. I pointed it out because it seemed like Dee87 thought I was talking about the "old" hwfly, while this one is a custom rp2040 that just use the same name. It's not like I wanted to sound smart or something. Just wanted to clarify it. If you all already know that, it's just...

Yeah I know. It's not like I'm encouraging this stuff. I've got a plain old rp2040 on both of my Switches. It's just what my friend bought and so it's what I'm using at the moment. Just mentioned it because I can't get the capacitors from it.

Yeah, makes sense. I'll check the values on older replies and fix it. However I just want to point out that it's called "hwfly 2040" on aliexpress but it's just an rp2040 custom board, not an hwfly. Infact, it runs with Rehius' firmware

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Nah bro, I didn't mean to sound like I don't believe what you're saying, I'm genuinely asking because you know much more than me. This friend of mine bought one of those "hwfly 2040" chips on aliexpress, so it's a rp2040 mounted on a flex. I don't think I can get those capacitor from it. So I...

Aren't they only "filters"? Early picofly guides even suggested to remove them and solder the mosfet directly there. I mean, of course they're there for a reason, but is the risk really that big?

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Hi guys, I recently did an install for a friend using the hwfly flex on a V1. Everything was working perfectly, but when I put back the metal lid, somehow BOTH capacitor shorted, even though I insulated them with kapton. I luckily fixed the issue by removing both of them and now the switch is...

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Hey guys, I've got this install where I can run both emunand and sysnand, however, if I run complete sysnand backup, I get the "slow emmc" error. Sometimes with both sysnand and ofw I had a crash error (but forgot to write down the error code). I guess the two things are related, right? Is this...

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Is it possible that the i2c undervoltage hack actually made the glitch much worse for me? I've got this v2 that can actually glitch just fine, but sometimes it takes up to 15 seconds to do the job. After soldering in SDA and SCL, it reached about a minute of time. Am I the only one?

Is 0.1mm wire good for SDA/SCL or should I do it thicker?

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

I installed picofly on a v1 and a v2 Switch and the v2 is a little bit slower when glitching (it never fails, though). Can soldering the two optional wires help and make it faster or is this just for those who have problems with making it work at all?

    Building this neat N64-Switch adapter

Like I said in OP, no. It cannot be remapped as the pico disguises itself as a non-remappable pad.

    Building this neat N64-Switch adapter

Hi, I'm a multi-game Mario speedrunner, focusing mainly on Super Mario 64 and Odyssey. I've found this nice project that lets you use your N64 gamepad through a Raspberry Pi Pico, and it works flawlessly. https://github.com/DavidPagels/retro-pico-switch It only has one problem: it doesn't work...

Love this install, but gave me huge paranoia. Should we all start putting resistors between gate and source?

Thanks! However he says he used four 0.1mm wires. Do you think he just went for an overkill or the more, the merrier? (Don't want to rip my caps off though)
