    I'll try and start up a new game. I'm playing The Japanese Special edition on the Invisible Kingdom(Revelation) path with the 4.1 fan translation(only on the DLC though, the base game is using the 4.0 translation still)

    Huh, in the past I had used both the language emulation plugin and the cheat plugin and they never conflicted. Tried it anyway, only left the layeredfs.plg and nothing changed. Tried 3.2-3.4 and it was still the same result.

    That seems to have fixed it. I did some testing and I guess it was the cheat plugin that was causing the crashes. Which is strange since I've used the cheat plugin before on earlier fan translations/firmwares/NTR versions and it didn't cause any problems before(at least none as big as this)...
