    Hacking dead sky3ds?

Got an email from the reseller that said basically the same things in this thread. Nothing seemed to be working, then I just sort of squeezed the two faces of the cart while the card was in it, then lo and behold it started loading again. Maybe it was indeed the pins not making contact.

I'll certainly open it up if vendor won't exchange it, but until I hear back from them I'm going to leave it in one piece.

    Hacking 3DSGamerworld - Trusted?

My two cents: I ordered a sky3ds from them a week ago, received it this weekend. Looked just like the photos posted here: Clear/blank case, blank/no-decal cart. It worked once, but then stopped working. I've verified with several brand-new, supported SD cards, and I'm 99% certain this thing is...

It's a brand new Sandisk Ultra C10. Tried it with a few older cards, also verified working, and none of them will work. Tried cleaning out the cart, too.

    Hacking dead sky3ds?

I received a sky3ds Friday, loaded a few files onto it, and it worked great. This morning I tried it again: the light no longer illuminates when I press the button, and the 3DS indicates that no cartridge is in the slot. I've already sent a question to the vendor about replacement, but if they...

    Hacking DIY Flashcarts

Makers often spend far more money building things than it would have been just to buy one off the shelf.

    Hacking DIY Flashcarts

lukas_2511: I would argue that "not worth the effort" is highly subjective, but thorasgar's comment seems to back you up quite nicely. :) Now to go try once again to wade through the scary dead threads to find a decent place to buy carts.

    Hacking DIY Flashcarts

Pardon me if this is a silly question, I'm new here: Has there been any effort to put together a DIY flashcart project for those of us who have the requisite skills & equipment? For instance: - Reverse-engineer or design the circuit - Etch, drill, and populate the PCB - 3d print the plastic...

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
@The Real Jdbye, I thought about that and I have blank DVD's and Blurays but honestly after like 90 songs I just listen to it a couple of hundred times toss it out and burn something else or have like 2-3 CD's. Florida here the heat in the car tends to ruin the CD's after like a few months even commercial pressed ones don't last too long.
