Burger time works just do zl - till you see vertical, you still need both joy cons to play. I just keep both connected to my switch,not 100% if you need this in your switch folder for this to work but do you have the wii button remap app and also...

Can confirm Tetris Party WiiWare wad works however d pad is in vertical wiimote position.
