    Ahhhh very interesting, power supply didnt even occur to me, yeah im already using a Y cable, so ill look into a powered USB hub to try and fix the issue. Still seems odd that this problem has only just started occuring. Maybe the drive is on the way out as suggested... Hmm food for thought...
