    So, I'm no expert on the technical side of stuff, but I am a VFX artist. Lanczos resampling is usually one of the best of the standard approaches to rescaling an image, would that algorithm be useable here?

    @Kinqdra not at all. I was simply stating that the Alt launcher functions like normal with the "stock" akaio files, but that the UI is totally black if I use the patch files, but functionally the same.

    @robz with Akaio (no forwarder files) it functions as normal. With the forwarder files, it boots to a black UI, but otherwise functions like normal. Games boot and all is well (tested with Pokemon Platinum.)

    Just discovered that if I don't have the acekard 2i in, the system still loads, but much, much faster. So the presence of the acekard is doing something, and it makes everything slow. Replacing the _rpg contents with the _aio files has the same affect as removing the card, everything speeds up...
