The save file in question is from mid-2024, not sure what version of CEMU. I'm going to try saving a new file using the latest version and see if that message goes away.
Make sure the Wii U Gamepad is assigned to a controller slot. It doesn't have to have a controller mapped to it, just assigned to a slot. This will allow you to use your mouse to interact with the menu (emulating touch controls).
