Hacking Gateway v2.0 Part 2: NAND Emulation
So with the emulated NAND, did the GATEWAY team run MH4 off the rom or the retail cart? I believed that they run off the rom but after reading the post on page 9, I'm not sure anymore.- EndlessD

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card -
