Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

I used 30awg Kynar wire on my install. It went fine, although I used a CPU cable rather than a DIY mosfet but you could strip the shielding from the wire and use the bare wire as long as you have solder mask for inside the CPU shield. I dont know if all enamel wire is equal but I also...

Use solder wick/desolder wire to remove as much/all the solder from the ground points (the 4 anchor/through holes) then for the 12 little pads, you want to add loads of solder so its almost one big blob of solder and with a decent iron with a fairly big tip, just run it back and forth over the...

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Initially I intended on position 2, I dry fitted everything before soldering and it fitted in snug without any shield cutting, however once I started soldering everything, I decided to go with position 1 because the the cables naturally went that way and I didnt want to put a lot of pressure on...

Just a quick sanity check before I remove the USB port for good (hopefully) I havent installed it into my Lite yet. I have previously flashed the 2.5+Unlock file, the single AIO file. I've just flashed over the 2.6Alpha, do I also need to flash the unlock afterwards or is it all built in now...

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

I now know why many use the CPU cable rather than soldering the mosfet.... its pretty dang tiny! I think I'll be cross eyed for the next week. CPU cable ordered :)

    Picofly AIO Thread

When it says "LED must be RED after USB write. if you see green, set "RGB mode" jumper" Does this mean directly after the .uf2 file is written? like for a second max. Not when plugged back in afterwards or when actually wired into the switch?
