    I've used the IA for literally decades and haven't had any problems whatsoever. If you're on Windows the built in antivirus is actually half-decent, so you're fairly safe if something very weird happens. Vimm is safe to use too, they've been around forever.

    Have you tried a video reset? Power on the Wii, hold down on the Wiimote, and push reset on the console.

    You might be able to find some projects that work the way you want, but likely if you're building from scratch you're writing your code. Now I'm a hardware guy so coding is a bit over me, but don't be afraid of it - it's something valuable to learn.

    Getting your license will give you a lot of technical knowledge. From that you can search around for what you need. It's really basic electronics now, basically snapping bits together. The code is the tricky part.

    So, maybe reread the thread. It was an original disc that had issues on two separate consoles. After a dump, it ran fine - narrowing it down to a physical problem with the disc. There was never any problem with loading backups.

    A soft cloth like you would use for eyeglasses, and isopropyl alcohol. Wipe from the center of the disc outwards in a straight line, don't rub around the disc itself.

    Probably just some minor scratches in just the right (well, wrong) spot. You may be able to get it buffed out at a game shop if you can't just clean it well enough.

    Alright, that's a start. Same issues on a Wii and a WiiU really make it sound like something isn't quite right with the disc. Try to install some backup software on the console, try making a copy of your disc and seeing if and when the backup fails. USB Loader GX can do it among many others.

    You just play through story mode on any difficulty, and beat Daisy during it. You can do it on any difficulty. This is seriously one you don't need cheats for.
