"Whether you can help him or not is beyond me, but yea. Not sure why he's specifically asking you for help, unless I missed something." Seems a bit harsh for you to say don't you think? The only way I could possibly help him would be by the method that I was using prior which was HANS. That's...
Well you have to at least be using HANS or a9lh or something to be able to do any of this. So i'm not sure how to answer this.

It was sooo worth it though! ^^
I had to use a spare old 3ds xl with older firmware to downgrade my personal old 3ds xl and then do the a9lh process that way but you are right, next time I do another system I could have in done in under an hour!

Are you trying to install the patch using HANS?
I have a retail copy of the game and used brain dump to make a ROMFS file with it to later use it for HANS. I should be able to patch it and just don't see why I can have 1.1 but not 1.2. I have a few different people trying to help me with this. None of them ever mentioned that this isn't...
I myself just used braindump and dumped a file of my game cart to my sd card but xdelta keeps giving me some error that won't let me patch it to 1.2. :/ Trying to to this to use with HANS.
Just to let you guys know that I was able to get everything set up properly thanks to a friend. Now I get to be just like the cool kids and play DQMTW. :P
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced
