    Yep, directly after soldering to the appropriate point. As shown in the Zerey's manual. Never adjusted the pot. And I don't think it has much to do with the brightness. Contrast, maybe. I think first you should resolder the cable. If this won't work, I would assume, Zerey's cable is defective.

    That's odd. I get this level of brightness every time (see pic below). The SP is at its low level of brightness. I always solder as shown in the Zerey's manual.

    prc41247, did you clear all the plastic from behind the screen on the top plate? Wiggy has a great manual on how to install the mod properly. I had to sand all the plastic down a couple of times. Just didn't do it properly. And still it was a tight fit. Here's a Zerey's manual...

    BTW I have a spare cable for 32 pin model. Can sell you one. PM if you're interested. Did a few mods and never had that trouble with blurry screen and twisted colors.
