    Yes! This worked! With ctr-httpwn i was able to bypass the update check in the eshop, allowing me to change the country :) I didn't realize it would work for more than the system transfer step...good thinking! Thanks!!

    Yeah, the ctr-httpwn to bypass the update check is no problem, but the region is. As I found out, even though both run the U version, the profile setting of Canada / USA makes it incompatible for system transfer.
