That's awesome news. The scene is developing so fast. Games load really fast on the external NVME drive, albeit seems to bit a hit or miss with some games giving a black screen.
Anyone want to buy a Japanese LUA game?
That P2JB really does take a bit. An hour 45 later and I was able to unpatch the bluray drive. So hopefully I don't need to run it again.
Appreciate the help given on here.
My LUA game is out for delivery so the Y2JB port should be out soon. Stacks with that Discord post.
Nice to see trophies are being worked on as well. It may not matter to some but seeing those achievements popup after doing something pretty...
it doesnt matter. an external m2 ssd in an enclosure with max speed is slower than even a gen 2 m2 ssd connected internally. Gen 3 usb enclosures are 1250mb/s max
Appreciate that insight. Leaning toward getting an external NVME drive in that case. I'd really like it to just be seamless but from the compatibility list in the OP it seems like that can't be the case. Some games only work on internal, some...
It is still not recommended to use an internal m2 drive because there may be situations where data is deleted (including save game data). Maybe it doesn't matter if you regularly back up your saved positions.
A normal USB ssd sata is said to be...
Was getting my PS5 all prepped and doing some research on the best ways to set things up.
Is it still important to have games be on an NVME drive in an external enclosure? From what I've read:
Don't use the internal drive. Games glitch, run...
Funny you mention that. It seemed to always be that someone messed something up when upgrading RAM, a hard drive, a CPU, or adding new hardware internally. They didn’t drain before working on it and wonder why a few days it stopped working and...
I don’t understand why ekwb does this they’ve done this for other consoles too
Why take the time too make and design a product to jsut sell it one time and for it to fall off the earth and get forgotten about
They’ve done it for Xbox and ps3...
For sure. My old systems had EK blocks in them and it was a pain in the ass to do any upgrades. RAM and M.2 slots were right under one of the tubing runs I did. So if I wanted to swap anything out, I'd have to drain the entire loop, do the swap...
I definitely appreciate how fast the scene is moving with these developments.
From what I've been reading, just need to wait for Y2JB to work with P2JB so I can unpatch the blu-ray drive. That way I won't need to wait 2+ hours each time I want...
No, because that video you linked to didn’t have a link to this.
You could just put the link here without being an asshole about it.
Just say “here’s the link if you’re interested” and not “HAVE YOU READ THIS?!”
Appreciate the link, but...
