    Yup, I know what you mean. I really want a card that can play both 3DS and NDS roms, but the GW seems like the best option so far. I've just been trying to see if there are any benefits to having a GW instead of CFW.

But I could simply buy a scds2/r4i like you said, and install the software there, is that it? My 3DS's version is 8, so that should work to play...
