    That's the thing, I'm not even getting that option, so maybe the previous owner maybe used all 4 attempts. I found something on YouTube stating that you could change the region on PSN, but I'd rather get a cheap Blu-ray/DVD player from Walmart instead of risking it at this point.

    Thing is I got the PS4 because my wife wanted a DVD/Blu-ray player, and I convinced her that a PS4 could do that (after conveniently finding someone selling a low firmware one). I'm screwed, lol. But at least her source of disc media (the library 2 blocks away) has tons of Blu-rays as well...

    Yeah I did that and can play blue rays fine, but not Dvd's. Been reading that they work on linux, though? What about any of the media player apps?

    What I want is to set/change the region so I can play DVDs, that's all. Can I reboot the PS4 (to disable goldhen) to log into PSN, set the region for DVD playback and then logout/ go back to goldhen?

    Thanks for the amazing guide, recently got a 9.00 ps4 and this worked perfectly. I'm having issues with DVD (CE-35489-9) playbacks, however, and I'm wondering if it's ok to sign on to PSN to set my region to US( on goldhen ), as the previous owner obviously deleted his account information...

    For some reason Maschell posted the solution to wiiu not booting into aroma after the last update on reddit, but not here so: "Please remove the SNTP-Client.wps from the sd card (wiiu/environments/aroma/plugins) to properly fix your issue . Turning off autoboot doesn't really fix anything "

    Registered an account just to thank Madchell, and to let you know this latest update doesn't work on my wiiu, now I'm stuck at the wiiu loading screen. Tried manually downloading and replacing the files and nothing either, had to boot to tiramisu to play some games.
