    haven't used it yet
  • Jayro @ Jayro:
My scratch drive is a gen 2 drive salvaged from a 2015 Macbook Pro, I had to use 2 fucking adapters just to use it in my PC. It's slow, but it's good enough for swap for Windows and Photoshop.
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
I got a 1tb sandisk extreme for my switch a while ago for extremely cheap
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
direct conversion would be around USD 60
  • realtimesave @ realtimesave:
I paid about 80 for mine
  • realtimesave @ realtimesave:
    1.5TB maybe like 90
  • realtimesave @ realtimesave:
    2TB 185...
  • Jayro @ Jayro:
4TB NVME Gen 4 drives are starting to come down, so I might spring for one after the new year.

  • realtimesave @ realtimesave:

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    Seen them low at $210
  • realtimesave @ realtimesave:

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Gen5 is rolling out so it will drop
  • Jayro @ Jayro:
    I don't think I've used a machanical harddrive in like, a decade.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I buy refurbs for rom storage
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    $80/12tb hard to pass
    +1
  • Jayro @ Jayro:
IMO, I think NVMe drives should slide vertically into RAM-style slots between the card slots, saving space, latency, and letting you have more drives.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah I've said that before or just clip in without a screw
    +1
  • realtimesave @ realtimesave:
solid state is prohibitively expensive to store this much data on.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    Good night guys
  • Jayro @ Jayro:
    byeeee
  • realtimesave @ realtimesave:
refurbished drive that was used for 5 years in a data center for $80 is a BAD deal. even if it has a warranty you'll end up losing all the data lol
